description North Holiday Park is situated on the banks of Benbrook Lake near Fort Worth, Texas. It is an excellent destination for picnicking, boating, swimming and fishing. Fossil hunting is popular around Benbrook. About 85 million years ago, the area was covered by an ancient sea. Today, visitors enjoy searching for fossilized clams and corral.
drivingDirection From Interstate 20, take Exit 429A for U.S. Highway 377 and go south approximately 3 miles to Stevens Road. Turn left. The second left will be Lakeview Drive; turn left here and proceed past the marina to the gatehouse.

orientationDescription The picnic area is on the north end of Benbrook Lake near the dam. The lake is located in the Grand Prairie region of north-central Texas. It sits on the Trinity River on the southwest edge of the Fort Worth metropolitan area.
recreationDescription Prevailing southwesterly winds on the lake attract avid windsurfers. Boating, swimming, hiking and fishing are also popular. The lake record for largemouth bass is over thirteen pounds. Other catches include carp, sunfish and flathead catfish.
